Update: Suspect Wanted for Questioning in Southwest Plaza Mall Investigation

FBI Denver April 22, 2011
  • Public Affairs Specialist Deborah Sherman (303) 630-6060

The FBI Denver Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) is releasing three additional photographs of a possible SUSPECT wanted for questioning in the incident that occurred at the Southwest Plaza Mall on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 in unincorporated Jefferson County, Colorado.

Our continuing joint investigation has revealed the person previously considered a “person of interest” as a possible “suspect” in the investigation. Law enforcement is providing the additional photographs to the media and the public to view to assist in identifying the possible suspect.

We are continuing to ask the media and the public to contact the Jeffco Tip Line at (303) 271-5615 to provide information on the possible suspect in the photographs or if they witnessed any suspicious activity in the area.

The photographs were provided from the Regional Transportation District (RTD) Police Department. The photographs show the possible suspect as he rode on an RTD bus on the evening of Tuesday, April 19, 2011. The bus left north-bound on Wadsworth Blvd. from the Southwest Plaza Mall at approximately 8:30 p.m.

RTD will not be able to provide the media any additional information regarding this investigation.
