The Englewood Police Department and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force (RMSSTF) are investigating a bank robbery.

The robbery occurred at:

Bank of the West
4301 South Broadway
Englewood, Colorado
12/13/2010, 2:00 p.m.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years of age, 5’4” to 5’5” in height, thin build, and unshaven.

The suspect demanded money and fled the bank.

The RMSSTF has dubbed this bandit the “Itty Bitty Bandit” because of his size and stature.

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.

The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
