Seeking Information on the “Flat Bill Bandit”

The Broomfield Police Department and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force responded to a bank robbery which occurred at 2:30 p.m. at the Chase Bank, 4580 W 121st Avenue, Broomfield, Colorado.

The suspect is described as a white male, mid 20’s, approximately 5’5” - 5’8” tall, a thin build, dark hair, with a scruffy beard.

The suspect demanded money and fled. The suspect was believed to be armed with a handgun at the time of the robbery.

This same suspect is believed to have robbed two other banks on September 13, 2010.

Fort Collins, Colorado

This robber has been dubbed the “Flat Bill Bandit” due to the style of baseball cap worn by the suspect during the robberies.

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.

The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
