Armed and Dangerous

FBI Denver May 08, 2009
  • Public Affairs Specialist Deborah Sherman (303) 630-6060

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Dillon Yellowbear, Indian Male, 25 years of age, of Riverton, Wyoming, for assault and who is considered armed and dangerous.

On May 4, 2009, Yellowbear went to the Northern Arapaho Indian Health Services Clinic in Arapaho, Wyoming. In the parking lot of the clinic, Yellowbear approached a male and female known to him.  He stabbed the male victim with a knife and shot the female with a pellet gun.  Yellowbear then fled in a red truck that was subsequently recovered.  A pellet gun and knife were recovered at that time.  Both victims were transported to a local medical facility where they received treatment.

At this time, Investigators believe Yellowbear may be traveling with a female, Nora Miller, 31 years of age, of Colorado Springs, Colorado. They may be traveling in Miller’s vehicle—a 1998 White Ford Windstar Minivan, Colorado license plate 902 SLE.

Yellowbear is considered armed and dangerous and if you believe you have seen either Yellowbear or Miller, please contact your local law enforcement authorities or FBI Office immediately.  Attached to this press release are photographs of Yellowbear and Miller.  Please note Yellowbear has tattoos on his face and neck.

It is expected federal charges will be filed on Yellowbear for assault in the District of Wyoming.
