FBI Cleveland September 04, 2013 |
Stephen D. Anthony, Special Agent in Charge of the Cleveland Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for the Northern District of Ohio, in conjunction with Ravenna Police Chief Tim Adkins, announces the arrest of Daniel J. Bowman, 61 years old, of Highland Ave., Ravenna.
A search warrant was executed at Bowman’s residence on September 4, 2013, by agents from the FBI's Akron Resident Agency and officers from the Ravenna Police Department. Based on information obtained during the execution of the search warrant, Bowman was arrested on probable cause and placed in federal custody.
A federal complaint to charge Bowman with possession and distribution of child pornography is expected this afternoon.
This case was investigated by the FBI and the Ravenna Police Department.
If convicted, the defendant’s sentence will be determined by the court after review of factors unique to this case, including the defendant’s prior criminal records, if any; the defendant’s role in the offense; and the characteristics of the violation.
A complaint is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. A defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
