FBI Seeks Serial Bank Robber

Stephen D. Anthony, Special Agent in Charge of the Cleveland Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), for the Northern District of Ohio, is seeking information regarding an individual responsible for five area bank robberies since July 2, 2012.

The five bank robberies have occurred at banks located inside area grocery stores. The majority of the robberies have occurred on Fridays between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

The subject is described as a male with an olive complexion (possibly Hispanic or Middle Eastern or a light-skinned African American), 5’9”-6’2” tall, thin build, and frequently having one or two days of facial hair growth. The subject has either shown a weapon in his waistband or has indicated that he has a weapon on his person.

Below is a list of the date and location of each bank robbery associated with this unknown individual; also, photos from the robbery are at the conclusion of this press release.

July 2, 2012: U.S. Bank, located inside the Fishers Food store at 4403 Cleveland Avenue NW in Canton, Ohio.

July 20, 2012: U.S. Bank, located inside the Giant Eagle on Graham Road in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio

July 27, 2012: Huntington Bank, located inside the Giant Eagle at 4700 Belmont Avenue in Youngstown, Ohio

August 3, 2012: Huntington Bank, located inside the Giant Eagle at Washington Square in North Canton, Ohio

August 10, 2012: Huntington Bank, located inside the Giant Eagle at 608 Raff Road SW in Canton, Ohio.

A reward is being offered for information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual responsible for these five bank robberies.
