Youngstown Man Charged in Connection with Dollar Tree Robbery

U.S. Attorney’s Office October 28, 2011
  • Northern District of Ohio (216) 622-3600

A federal grand jury returned an indictment against Sean L. Queener, age 40, of Youngstown, in connection with the robbery of a Dollar Tree, Steven M. Dettelbach, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, announced today.

Sean L. Queener robbed the Dollar Tree located at 1150 Doral Drive, Boardman, Ohio on January 14, 2008, according to the indictment.

If convicted, the sentence in this case will be determined by the Court after consideration of the advisory Federal Sentencing Guidelines which depend upon a number of factors unique to each case, including the defendant’s prior criminal record, if any, the defendant’s roles in the offense and the unique characteristics of the violation. In all cases the sentence will not exceed the statutory maximum and in most cases it will be less than the maximum.

The case was presented to the grand jury by Assistant United States Attorney Daniel J. Riedl following an investigation by the Boardman Police Department, Youngstown Police Department, Mahoning Valley Violent Crimes Task Force and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

An indictment is not evidence of guilt. A defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
