Georgia Fugitive Arrested in Ohio

C. Frank Figliuzzi, Special Agent in Charge of the Cleveland Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation( FBI ), for the Northern District of Ohio, announced the arrest of Clarence A. Jackson, age 44, of Cleveland, Ohio, on July 24, 2009. Jackson was arrested by the Cleveland Cuyahoga County Fugitive Gang Task Force, which is comprised of agents/officers of the FBI, Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department, Ohio State Parole, and the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority, for felony charges which were filed on July 21, 2009, out of Fulton County Georgia, charging Jackson with committing the following offenses on October 6, 1986: Aggravated Assault Rape; Armed Robbery Weapon; False Imprison Confine; and Rape. According to the affidavit filed in Georgia, Jackson, who had previously been convicted of a Rape charge, was identified in part through DNA analysis. Additionally, FBI Atlanta had filed an active warrant for Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution, which prompted the Cleveland
Jackson was arrested by the Fugitive Gang Task Force at 9702 Elizabeth, in the South East area of Cleveland, OH, without incident, and is currently being detained in the Cuyahoga County Jail awaiting extradition to Georgia.
