Bank Robbery Arrests - Fugitive Sought

C. Frank Figliuzzi, Special Agent in Charge of the Cleveland Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), for the Northern District of Ohio, announces the arrests of Samuel V. Long, age 21, of Cleveland, Ohio; Demetrius N. Wright, age 21, of Cleveland, Ohio; Jeremy J. Brown, age 21, of Cleveland, Ohio; and Shaniya Scovil, age 23, of Cleveland, Ohio for their involvement in the robbery of the Fifth Third Bank, 25151 Detroit Road, Westlake, Ohio on April 10, 2009.  Justin M. Sumbry, age 21, of Cleveland, Ohio is wanted in connection with the Fifth Third bank robbery and is a fugitive from justice.

Responding police officers from Westlake Police Department, North Olmsted Police Department, Bay Village Police Department, Rocky River Police Department, Fairview Park Police Department, and North Ridgeville Police Department arrested Long, Wright, Brown, and Scovil shortly after the bank robbery.  Investigation conducted by the Westlake Police Department and the Cleveland Office of the FBI also identified Sumbry as being involved.  The Garfield Heights Police Department and the Cleveland Police Department assisted the Westlake Police Department and the FBI in the search for Sumbry who remains a fugitive.  All of the money taken during this robbery was recovered during the arrests of these individuals.  A .380 semi-automatic pistol was also recovered during the arrest of these individuals.

Long, Wright, Sumbry and Brown have been charged with Conspiracy to Commit Federal Armed Bank Robbery.  Long, Sumbry, and Brown have been charged with Armed Bank Robbery and weapons charges.  Scovil has been charged with aid and abet Armed Bank Robbery.  Federal Armed Bank robbery carries a penalty of up to 25 years imprisonment.

The Westlake Police Department and the FBI are seeking information on the whereabouts of Justin M. Sumbry.  Sumbry is considered armed and dangerous and anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Westlake Police Department or the Cleveland Office of the FBI.  Reward money is available and all calls will remain confidential.

Long, Wright, Brown, and Scovil will appear in United States District Court, Cleveland, Ohio for their initial appearances on these charges.
