Cleveland Man Arrested in Charter One Bank Robbery

C. Frank Figliuzzi, Special Agent in Charge of the Cleveland Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, for the Northern District of Ohio, announces the arrest of Anthony M. Dooley, age 33, of Cleveland, Ohio on April 8, 2009. Dooley was wanted for his involvement in the robbery of the Charter One Bank, 25000 Euclid Avenue, Euclid, Ohio on March 16, 2009. Dooley turned himself in to a Cleveland Police Officer at a bus station in Cleveland, Ohio after returning from Miami, Florida. Dooley has been charged with one count of Federal Bank Robbery which carries a penalty of up to 20 years imprisonment.

Dooley was identified as the person responsible for robbing the Charter One Bank through an investigation conducted by the Euclid Police Department and the Cleveland Office of the FBI. Dooley is also presently on parole for a previous bank robbery conviction.

Dooley will appear today in United States District, Cleveland, Ohio for his initial appearance on the charge of bank robbery.
