Suspect Arrested in Connection with Robbery of TCF Bank Branch in Glendale Heights

FBI Chicago August 16, 2012
  • Special Agent Garrett Croon (312) 829-1199

FBI agents and officers from the Cicero Police Department arrested a 43-year-old Cicero man yesterday in connection with the July 27, 2012 robbery of the TCF Bank branch located at 2164 Bloomingdale Road in Glendale Heights, Illinois. Glenn A. Rodgers was taken into custody without incident at his residence, 6048 West Pershing Road in Cicero, Illinois.

Rodgers was charged in a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Chicago on Monday, August 13, 2012, and unsealed yesterday following the arrest. The complaint charged Rodgers with one count of bank robbery, a felony offense.

Rodgers appeared yesterday afternoon before U.S. Magistrate Judge Sheila M. Finnegan, at which time he was formally charged and released on bond pending his next court appearance.

The public is reminded that a complaint is not evidence of guilt and that all defendants in a criminal case are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
