Robbery of MB Financial Bank Branch in Homewood

On Friday, May 13, 2011, around 1:30 in the afternoon, a lone white male, armed with a handgun, walked into the MB Financial Bank branch, 2345 W. 183rd St., Homewood, Illinois (inside the Walt’s grocery store). He approached the teller counter and orally announced a robbery, threatening the teller with harm if his demands for cash were not met. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled the bank on foot, direction not known. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported as a result of this robbery.

He is described as approximately 6’ tall, medium build, closely cropped (balding) hair, beard, glasses, wearing a black suit, white shirt, and tie.
