Public’s Help Sought in Search for Chicago Murder Suspect

Robert D. Grant, Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is asking for the public’s help in locating JESUS SANCHEZ, age 28, whose last known address was 4841 South Marshfield Avenue in Chicago.

SANCHEZ, who is believed to be a member of the Latin Saints street gang, was convicted in absentia of the 2003 beating death of a 25 year-old Chicago man in an apparent gang related incident.  SANCHEZ was sentenced to 27 years incarceration, but his whereabouts remain unknown.

SANCHEZ is described as a Hispanic/male, 5’ 8” tall, 185 lbs., medium build. He is known on the street as “Shamu” and “Jessie”.  

Anyone recognizing SANCHEZ or having any information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Chicago FBI at (312) 421-6700.

This case is being investigated by the Chicago FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force, which is comprised of FBI Special Agents, Detectives from the Chicago Police Department and Investigators from the Cook County Sheriff’s office.
