A press conference will be held tomorrow (Wednesday, May 20th) at the FBI’s Chicago headquarters building. The purpose of the press conference is to unveil and discuss a new Internet website which will be used to help aid in solving the record number of bank robberies in the Chicago metropolitan area.

The press conference will be hosted by Robert D. Grant, Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI); Jody P. Weis, Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department; and Thomas Dart, Cook County Sheriff. They will be joined by Rick Battelle, Regional Managing Director of Electronic Tracking Systems (ETS), a Dallas, Texas-based leader in security systems for banks and financial institutions, who has partnered with the FBI, CPD, and Cook County Sheriff’s office in designing and hosting this innovative website.

The press conference is open to all news organizations and will be held at the Chicago FBI’s headquarters building, located at 2111 West Roosevelt Road in Chicago, beginning at 3:00 p.m. News media vehicles can park in the visitor’s parking lot, located on Roosevelt Road.
