Arrest Made in ‘No Bag Bandit’ Case

The Charlotte Division of the FBI is announcing an arrest in the case of an alleged serial bank robber operating in the Raleigh area. Arrest warrants were served on John Larry Morrison, aka Ralph Linwood (04/12/1975), of Greensboro, North Carolina, for two common law robbery charges in connection with two recent bank robberies at:

  • SunTrust Bank—6300 Creedmoor Road, Raleigh, NC on September 23, 2011,
  • SunTrust Bank—1273 North West Maynard Road, Cary, NC on November 25, 2011

The investigation was conducted in partnership with the FBI Raleigh-Durham Safe Streets Task Force, the Cary Police Department, the Raleigh Police Department, and the Durham Police Department.

Morrison is currently in the Durham County jail in connection with a robbery on December 17, 2011, at a Rite Aid Drug Store. Morrison is no longer considered a suspect in the Wells Fargo bank robbery in Garner, North Carolina, on January 19, 2012.
