CHARLOTTE, NC—The Charlotte FBI Safe Streets Task Force needs the public’s assistance tracking down a man who robbed the SunTrust Bank at 7801 Pineville-Matthews Road this morning.

Witnesses describe the robber as a white man, between 25 and 35 years old, about 5’6” and about 170 pounds. They say he had a black mask covering his face and was armed with a gun. Tellers say the suspect became increasingly nervous and kept demanding money; getting louder and more vulgar during the robbery. He also dropped a large amount of cash on the floor before running out of the bank.

If anyone saw anything at around 9:10 this morning in the area of Johnston Road in South Charlotte, please call the Charlotte Division of the FBI at (704) 672-6100 or CrimeStoppers at (704) 334-1600.
