Larceny Suspect Sentenced

BUFFALO, NY—U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr. announced today that former Brinks employee DeJason Moore, 34, of Buffalo, New York, was sentenced to six months in prison for larceny from a bank by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Russell T. Ippolito, Jr., who handled the case, stated that Moore stole $40,000 from a U.S. bank while working for Brinks, a private armored transportation and cash management service company. The defendant had access to the funds while working in the emergency cash bin vault area safeguarded by Brinks which contained the funds.

The plea is the result of an investigation by special agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Acting Special Agent in Charge Richard W. Kollmar, and Special Agents of the United States Secret Service, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Tracy Gast.
