Man Sentenced for Threatening to Retaliate Against Witness in Chosen Few Motorcycle Club Prosecution

U.S. Attorney’s Office November 22, 2010
  • Western District of New York (716) 843-5700

BUFFALO, NY—U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr. announced today that Chad Koschuk, 40, of Alden, NY, was sentenced to 18 months in jail by Chief U.S. District Court Judge William M. Skretny. Koschuk was convicted by a jury on July 22 of threatening to retaliate against a witness in the related racketeering case against his father, Alex Koschschuk.

U.S. Attorneys Anthony M. Bruce and Russell T. Ippolito, who handled the trial of the case, stated that Koschuk had been accused of threatening the witness because the witness had provided information to the FBI about his father and testified before the grand jury about his father. This occurred during a chance meeting on September 11, 2009 at a convenience food store in Alden, NY.

The sentencing was the culmination of an investigation on the part of special agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge James H. Robertson.
