Son of Chosen Few Motorcycle Club President Charged with Threatening a Witness Against His Father

  • Western District of New York (716) 843-5700

BUFFALO, NY—United States Attorney Kathleen Mehltretter announces that earlier this afternoon FBI Agents arrested Chad Koschuk, 23, of Alden, New York for threatening to harm an individual because the individual had testified before the grand jury against Koschuk’s father, Alex Koschtschuk, in violation of the federal witness tampering statute. Alex Koschtschuk, who allegedly was the president of the Chosen Few Motorcycle Club of Depew, is in custody awaiting trial on an indictment that charges him and 18 other past and present Chosen Few Members with Racketeering, committing violent crimes in aid of a racketeering enterprise and a number of firearms offenses. The complaint alleges that Chad Koschuk made threats to retaliate against this individual for “talking against his dad” by sexually assaulting the witness and cutting off the witness’s long hair.

The arrest came after United States Magistrate Judge Hugh B. Scott signed a complaint that charged Koschuk with the threats and signed a warrant for Koschuk’s arrest.

Koschuk was remanded by Judge Scott pending an as yet unscheduled detention hearing.

Koschuk's arrest was an outgrowth of the continuing investigation into the activities of the members and associates of the Chosen Few Motorcycle Club on the part of Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms under the direction Resident Agent in Charge David DeJoe. The case is being handled by Assistant United States Attorneys Anthony M. Bruce and John E. Rogowski.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
