Law Enforcement Agencies Seek Unknown Kidnapping Suspect; $20,000 Reward Offered for Information Leading to Arrest

The Federal Bureau of Investigation; the Barrington, Rhode Island Police Department; and the Rhode Island State Police are asking the public for help in identifying an individual responsible for an armed kidnapping.

At 7:30 a.m. on June 30, 2014, one unknown masked suspect kidnapped a man at gunpoint from his driveway in Barrington, Rhode Island. They drove for almost three hours to the Massachusetts/New York border on Interstate 90. The suspect told the victim to pull over on Interstate 90 just before the Lee, Massachusetts rest area and fled into the woods.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male with close-cropped, dark-colored hair. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and green camouflage bandana over his face and held a black semi-automatic handgun. The suspect speaks English with a slight Spanish accent. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and prosecution of the person responsible for this kidnapping. Anyone with information should call the FBI at 1-800-CALLFBI (1-800-225-5324) or submit a tip at tips.fbi.gov.
