Kittery Point Man Sentenced to 37 Months for Bank Robbery

CONCORD, NH—Christopher Hildreth, 23, of Kittery Point, Maine, was sentenced today to 37 months in federal prison and three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to committing the April 13, 2010 robberies of the TD Bank in Dover, New Hampshire, and the TD Bank in Farmington, New Hampshire, announced United States Attorney John P. Kacavas.

Hildreth pleaded guilty on December 6, 2010 to committing the April 13, 2010 robberies of the TD Banks. At approximately 12:34 p.m. on April 13, 2010, Hildreth walked into the TD Bank in Dover and presented the teller with a demand note. The demand note stated that Hildreth had a gun, although no gun was ever displayed and none was recovered. After receiving a sum of money from the teller, Hildreth fled the bank on foot.

At approximately 4:52 p.m. on April 13, 2010, Hildreth and Jacob Brown entered the TD Bank in Farmington. Each approached a teller and presented a demand note that stated the robbers possessed a gun. After getting money from the tellers, both fled the bank on foot and ran to a waiting van operated by Bo Rodden.

Hildreth was arrested by state authorities after they obtained information identifying Hildreth as the robber. No weapon was ever recovered. Bo Rodden was sentenced in the United States District Court on November 2, 2010 to 71 months in federal prison for his involvement in numerous robberies, including the TD Bank robberies. Jacob Brown is scheduled to be sentenced on April 13, 2011.

The investigation was conducted by the Rollinsford Police Department, the Dover Police Department, the Stratham Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Don Feith.
