Fugitive Edgard Anziani Arrested

Special Agent in Charge Warren T. Bamford announced today the arrest of fugitive Edgard Anziani, age 27.

During the investigation, it was determined that Mr. Anziani had traveled to Maryland. Mr. Anziani was taken into custody today at approximately 1:00 p.m. without incident in Bladensburg, Maryland. He was arrested on a federal warrant issued on February 26, 2010 in the District of Maine charging him with Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution.

Mr. Anziani was wanted for allegedly murdering a 15-month-old baby boy in Bangor, Maine on February 23, 2010. A state warrant was issued for his arrest after he was charged with the murder in Maine on February 26, 2010. 

Assisting the FBI Baltimore and Washington Field Offices were the Prince George’s County Police Department and the Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office in Maryland..
