Law Enforcement Asking for Public Assistance

On the morning of January 6, 2009, at approximately 9:30 a.m. a female was kidnapped by an unknown white male who was armed. This occurred while she was opening the nail salon, Y D Nails, located at 789 Atwood Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island. She was later released at approximately 11:15 a.m. at the South Shore shopping plaza in Braintree, Massachusetts. The Braintree police transported her to the South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth, MA where she was treated and released.

Law enforcement is interested in speaking with anyone who may have information about this event or witnessed the abduction. Anyone with information is asked to call the Cranston Police Department at (401) 477-5143. Names of those who provide information will remain confidential.
