Maine Woman Sentenced to 63 Months in Federal Prison for Aiding and Abetting Bank Robbery

CONCORD, NH—Tammy Fowler, of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, was sentenced today to 63 months in federal prison after a jury found her guilty of aiding and abetting the robbery of the Profile Bank in Wakefield, New Hampshire, on January 23, 2009. Fowler was also sentenced to serve three years of supervised release after she is finished serving her prison sentence. During the period of her supervised release, Fowler’s behavior will be monitored by the United States Probation and Pretrial Services Office.

Fowler served as the driver of a van that was used by she and Paul Dimeo to commit the bank robbery. Paul Dimeo, who has pleaded guilty to committing the bank robbery, is awaiting sentencing in the United States District Court. Dimeo’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for November 24, 2009.

The case was investigated by the Wakefield Police Department, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the New Hampshire State Police, the New Hampshire Department of Fish and Game, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The United States Attorney’s Office appreciates the assistance of all of these agencies in the investigation and prosecution of this case.
