  • District of New Hampshire (603) 225-1552

CONCORD, NH—Paul Dimeo, most recently of New Haven, Connecticut, pleaded guilty in the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire to one count of bank robbery in connection with the January 23, 2009 robbery of the Profile Bank, 65 Meadow Street, Wakefield, New Hampshire.

A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for November 24, 2009. Under the terms of a plea agreement filed with the Court, Dimeo will be sentenced to 176 months in federal prison to be followed by a period of supervised release. If the court does not accept the plea agreement, Dimeo will be allowed to withdraw his guilty plea.

On January 23, 2009, Dimeo entered the Profile Bank, leapt over the counter, and demanded money from the tellers. Dimeo took a sum of United States currency and left the bank on foot. As Dimeo was crossing the bank parking lot and heading towards a van being operated by Tammy Fowler, a number of civilians pursued him, captured him, and held him until the police arrived. Fowler was arrested a short time later.

The Wakefield Police Department investigated this case with the assistance of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the New Hampshire State Police, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Don Feith.
