Mississippi Man Indicted for Robbery of Cadence Bank in Pelham

BIRMINGHAM—A federal grand jury today indicted a Mississippi man for the January robbery of a Pelham bank, announced U.S. Attorney Joyce White Vance and FBI Special Agent in Charge Patrick J. Maley.
The indictment filed in U.S. District Court charges DAVID ALEXANDER KULINSKI, 53, of Marietta, Mississippi, with one count of bank robbery. According to the indictment, Kulinski walked into Cadence Bank on Huntley Parkway in Pelham on January 14, handed a teller a note demanding money, and threatened the teller with a knife. The teller complied with the demand and handed Kulinski an undisclosed amount of money. Kulinski ran from the bank and was apprehended by Pelham Police shortly after the robbery, according to the indictment.
The FBI and Pelham Police investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph P. Montminy is prosecuting the case.
Members of the public are reminded that an indictment contains only charges. A defendant is presumed innocent of the charges and it will be the government’s burden to prove a defendant’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt at trial.
