FBI Seeking Bank Robbers Wanted for Two Atlanta-Area Robberies

J. Britt Johnson, Special Agent in Charge, FBI Atlanta Field Office, requests the public’s assistance in identifying and apprehending the individuals responsible for the January 20, 2015 robbery of the BB&T Bank at 3361 Clairmont Road in Atlanta, Georgia and the January 20, 2015 robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank at 5505 Lawrenceville Highway in Lilburn, Georgia.

On Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at approximately 4:12 p.m., a lone white male entered the BB&T Bank located at 3361 Clairmont Road in Atlanta, Georgia, and presented a demand note to a teller announcing a robbery. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the robber departed the bank without further incident. The robber was observed as having a slender build, wearing a dark hoodie sweatshirt and tan baseball cap. No weapon or getaway vehicle was observed.

Also on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, a lone white male entered the Wells Fargo Bank located at 5505 Lawrenceville Highway in Lilburn, Georgia and presented the teller with a demand note announcing a robbery. The robber was described as being a slender white male, 5’10” to 6” in height, thin build, mid-20s in age, and wearing black jeans, black hoodie, and a black University of Georgia baseball-style cap.

Wells Fargo Bank is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for this robbery.
