Wells Fargo Bank Branch in Brookhaven Robbed

Special Agent in Charge (SAC) J. Britt Johnson, in conjunction with Chief Gary Yandura, Brookhaven Police Department, provides the following information and requests the public’s assistance regarding today’s takeover-style bank robbery, which occurred at the Wells Fargo Bank, 3890 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, Georgia:

On Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at approximately 10:15 a.m., three armed individuals entered the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 3890 Peachtree Road, Atlanta (Brookhaven), Georgia and, while forcing customers to the ground and vaulting a teller counter, announced a robbery. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, all three robbers departed the bank without further incident and were observed departing the area in an unknown make/model vehicle.

The robbers are described as follows:

  1. Male, all black clothing, blue latex/surgical style gloves, carrying a black backpack
  2. Male, all black clothing, white cloth face mask, blue latex/surgical style gloves, white tennis shoes
  3. Black male, large build/heavy set, wearing all black clothing, brown Panama style brim hat, wearing a prominent chain necklace.

  

  

  

  

Wells Fargo has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the above armed and violent robbery.
