Armed Robbery of Best Bank Branch in Union City

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Brian D. Lamkin, FBI Atlanta, along with the Union City Police Department, is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating an armed bank robber responsible for today’s robbery of the Best Bank, located inside of a Kroger grocery store at 4550 Jonesboro Road, Union City, Georgia.

On Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at approximately 3:00 p.m., a lone black male entered the Best Bank branch, located inside of a Kroger grocery store, 4550 Jonesboro Road, Union City, Georgia, armed with a handgun. The individual proceeded to the teller counter, wherein he demanded and obtained an undisclosed amount of money. The robber was observed wearing a dark jacket or shirt, blue jeans, black gloves, and a light colored baseball style hat. He is described as being in his mid-40s, dark complexion, 6’0” in height, 190-200 lbs in weight, possible mustache.
