New Orleans Man Arrested for Heroin Distribution and Murder

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Brian D. Lamkin, FBI Atlanta, in conjunction with SAC David W. Welker, FBI New Orleans, announces the arrest earlier today of Gregory Stewart, age 19, of New Orleans, Louisiana, on federal charges related to heroin distribution as well as a state of Louisiana charge for murder.

Stewart was arrested without incident by FBI agents at a motel in Clayton County, Georgia, just south of Atlanta. Stewart made his initial appearance before a U.S. Magistrate Judge in Atlanta and now awaits extradition proceedings back to New Orleans.

The public should be reminded that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
