FBI Safe Child Task Force Arrest

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge Brian D. Lamkin announces, on behalf of the FBI’s Safe Child Task Force, the following arrest at Dalton, Georgia:

John Neff, age 47, of Denver, North Carolina, was arrested Monday afternoon, February 21, 2011, by FBI agents and task force officers of the FBI-led Safe Child Task force after coming to the attention of undercover agents/officers on the Internet. Neff, a commercial truck driver, is facing state charges of criminal attempted child molestation stemming criminal attempted aggravated child molestation from his efforts to have sex with a minor child.

Neff is currently being held at the Whitfield County, Georgia Detention Center.

The public should be reminded that the above are mere allegations and that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
