Deirdre L. Fike Named Special Agent in Charge of Anchorage Division

Director Robert S. Mueller, III has named Deirdre L. Fike special agent in charge of the FBI’s Anchorage Division. Ms. Fike most recently served as an inspector in the Inspection Division at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Fike began her career as a special agent with the FBI in January 1989. She first reported to the Louisville Division, where she investigated violent crimes and served as a crisis negotiator and a coordinator for the Behavioral Analysis Unit. In 1997, Ms. Fike transferred to the Omaha Division and investigated white-collar crime matters, specializing in health care fraud on the Nebraska Health Care Fraud Task Force.

Ms. Fike was promoted to supervisory special agent in the Office of Professional Responsibility at FBI Headquarters in 2002, where she investigated allegations of misconduct.

In 2004, Ms. Fike served as a supervisory special agent in the Sacramento Division with oversight of the White-Collar Crime Program, supervising health care fraud, organized crime, public corruption, and civil rights investigations. She also supervised the South Lake Tahoe Resident Agency. In 2009, she was promoted to assistant special agent in charge of the Intelligence Branch. She was also responsible for the Evidence Response Team, Surveillance/Aviation Program, and SWAT operations.

Ms. Fike returned to FBI Headquarters in 2011 upon her promotion to the Inspection Division. She was one of eight inspectors who conducted field office and National Program inspections, with responsibility for the FBI’s compliance to internal regulations.
