Person of Interest Sought in Death of Acoma Pueblo Woman

The FBI is seeking a person of interest who may have information regarding the death of a woman whose body was found on Acoma Pueblo, New Mexico, in November 2014.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Nathan Chavez, 32, of Acoma Pueblo, is asked to contact the Albuquerque FBI (24 hours) at (505) 889-1300.

Chavez is 5’8” tall, weighs approximately 165 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.

Chavez was last seen on November 23, 2014, in the Laguna Pueblo area attempting to hitch a ride to Albuquerque.

Chavez is known to frequent Albuquerque homeless shelters around the area of Central Avenue and Wyoming Boulevard.

He is also known to stay around the area of Central Avenue and Yale Boulevard, near the University of New Mexico.

Chavez also has connections to Tolleson, Arizona; Cortez, Colorado; and Dallas, Texas.

On November 28, 2014, the body of an adult female was discovered in a residence on Acoma Pueblo.

The death is considered suspicious, although details are not being released at this time.

The FBI and the Pueblo of Acoma Police Department are investigating.
