New Mexico Woman Charged with Bank Robbery Arrested by Sheriff’s Deputies

A Los Ranchos de Albuquerque woman sought by the FBI after she left a halfway house while awaiting trial on a bank robbery charge has been arrested by the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

Denise Romero, 27, was arrested Sunday night and is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center.

Romero left the halfway house without authorization on March 25, 2015, and did not return.

The FBI arrested Romero on March 19, 2015, in connection with the robbery of New Mexico Bank & Trust at 3701 4th St. NW in Albuquerque, which occurred on March 16.
