FBI Media Update: Woman Robs Bank of Albuquerque

A woman in a large blue flannel jacket robbed the Bank of Albuquerque located at 3301 Coors Blvd NW in Albuquerque on Thursday (1/8/2015) and fled in an older model white Chevrolet pickup truck.

The suspect is described as a white female in her 20s with a slender build, approximately 5’ tall.

She had dark curly or frizzly hair tied in a pony tail, and wore sunglasses, a large blue flannel jacket, blue jeans, a large black purse, and dark tennis shoes with red or pink trim.

Witnesses said the suspect walked into the bank at approximately 3:35 p.m. and gave a teller a note demanding money.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who left the bank and drove away in an older model white Chevrolet pickup truck that headed north on Coors Boulevard.

 

 

The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are investigating this bank robbery.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a bank robber.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
