Two Men Rob Albuquerque Bank

Two armed men robbed BBVA Compass Bank at 6001 Academy Road NE in Albuquerque on Tuesday, August 19, 2014.

The suspects are described as black males in their mid- to late 20s, approximately 5’9” to 5’10” tall (although one may be slightly shorter than the other), with medium to stocky builds.

Both men wore gray hooded sweatshirts, white sneakers, and dark bandanas that covered part of their faces.

One of the suspects appeared to have green or light-colored eyes and a pockmark or similar scar below his left eye. He wore dark pants.

The other suspect wore gray pants.

Witnesses say the men entered the bank at approximately 9:25 a.m. and displayed gray or black semi-automatic handguns.

One of the men walked to the counter and demanded money from the tellers while the other suspect waited near the entrance.

The tellers handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect at the counter.

The men left the bank and got into a unknown type of vehicle that is believed to have traveled along Academy Road and was last seen in the vicinity of Paseo del Norte Boulevard NE and Wyoming Boulevard NE.

The suspects may have thrown some items from the vehicle.
