Man with Camouflage Hat Robs Rio Rancho Bank
A man wearing a camouflage beanie robbed the Bank of Albuquerque branch located at 4300 Ridgecrest Dr. SE in Rio Rancho on Monday, June 30, 2014.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, with red or reddish brown hair, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 140-150 pounds.
He wore a camouflage beanie, black jacket with red stripes, black shirt, sunglasses with orange lenses and a black frame, dark pants, and white plastic gloves.
Witnesses said the suspect walked to the bank, which is located in an Albertsons supermarket, at approximately 11:15 a.m.
He gave a teller a note demanding money and placed a brown paper bag on the counter.
The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who left the bank.
Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense, and the penalty increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
