Man Robs Wells Fargo Bank in Albuquerque
The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are asking for the public’s help in catching a man who robbed the Wells Fargo branch located at 3701 Constitution Ave. NE inside a Smith’s grocery store on Friday, June 27, 2014.
The suspect is described a Hispanic male, approximately 50 years old, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighing about 165 pounds.
He wore sunglasses, a gray sweatshirt, a dark baseball cap, and dark pants.
The suspect left the bank with an accomplice in a silver four-door sedan.
Witnesses said the man entered the bank at approximately 1 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money.
The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect.
Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense, and the penalty increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
