Suspect Arrested in Robbery of Bank of Albuquerque

Anastacio Amador, 39, of Albuquerque, was arrested Monday, January 14, 2013, in connection with the robbery of the Bank of Albuquerque at 3301 Coors Blvd. NW in Albuquerque on Saturday, January 12, 2013.

Amador is expected to appear in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque on Tuesday.

FBI special agents, with the assistance of Albuquerque Police officers, apprehended Amador during a traffic stop.

Witnesses say a man entered the Bank of Albuquerque branch at approximately 12:30 p.m. Saturday and handed a demand note to a teller.

He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
