Suspect Arrested in Connection with Wells Fargo Bank Robbery

Sheldon David Weisman, 55, has been arrested in connection with the robbery on Friday, March 15, 2013, of the Wells Fargo Bank branch at 8333 Montgomery Blvd. NE in Albuquerque.

Weisman, who was arrested by the Albuquerque Police Department, is expected to appear in U.S. District Court on Monday.

Weisman resided most recently in the Española area.

Witnesses say a man entered the bank at approximately 2:51 p.m. and handed a teller a note that demanded money.

The teller gave an undisclosed amount of money to the man, who left the bank.

No further details will be released until after Weisman’s court appearance.
