James Charles Mollohan, 35, of Albuquerque, was arrested in connection with the robbery of New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union at 3205 Coors Blvd. NW that occurred February 1, 2013.

Mollohan is expected to appear in federal court in Albuquerque on Monday.

Witnesses say a man entered the bank at approximately 4:41 p.m., displayed a gun, and demanded money from a teller.

The teller gave an undisclosed amount of money to the man, who was apprehended by an FBI special agent and Albuquerque Police officers near the bank a short time later.

This case and the other bank robberies that have occurred in Albuquerque this year remain under investigation.

No other information will be released until after Mollohan’s court appearance.

All criminal defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
