Suspect Arrested in Connection with U.S. Bank Branch Robbery

Jaime Jesus Sachez-Ramos, 23, of Santa Fe, was arrested Tuesday (April 10) in connection with the April 2 robbery of the U.S. Bank branch on 3787 Cerrillos Road in Santa Fe.

Sanchez-Ramos is expected to appear in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque on Wednesday, April 11.

FBI special agents, with the assistance of the Santa Fe Police Department, arrested Sanchez-Ramos in Santa Fe.

Witnesses say a man in a green hooded jacket, a black ski mask, dark pants, black boots, and light-colored surgical gloves robbed the bank on April 2 at approximately 11:35 a.m.

The robber displayed a handgun and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

No further information is being released at this time, pending Sanchez-Ramos’ court appearance.
