Robbery of Century Bank Branch in Santa Fe

The FBI and Santa Fe Police Department are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Thursday (1/26/2012) at Century Bank, 1790 St. Michael’s Dr., in Santa Fe.

The male suspect wore a black ski mask, a tan or dark jacket, and pants. He is about 5’7” to 6’ tall and had a small to medium build.

Witnesses say the suspect walked into the bank at about 10:30 a.m. and used a handgun to demand money.

The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money.

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and the penalty increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
