Information Sought on Armed Robbery at Shiprock Restaurant

The Navajo Department of Criminal Investigations and the FBI are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Sonic Drive-In in Shiprock on November 30, 2012.

Shortly after midnight, two individuals dressed in black and with blue bandanas over their faces entered the restaurant on Highway 491.

Witnesses said one of the robbers carried an AK-style assault rifle.

The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and may have gotten into a silver or white four-door sedan.
