Bank Robbery in Las Vegas, New Mexico

The FBI and Las Vegas (New Mexico) Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Monday morning at Community 1st Bank, 701 Legion Dr.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, about 25 years old. He is approximately 6 feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds.

The man wore sunglasses, a short-sleeve red and blue plaid shirt over a white or beige long-sleeve shirt, and a black and white baseball-style cap.

Witnesses say the suspect walked into the bank at about 9 a.m. and handed a teller a note that demanded money.

He received an undisclosed amount of money and ran out of the bank.

Nobody was injured.

A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
