Armed Robbery at Albuquerque Bank

The FBI and Albuquerque Police are investigating the Thursday afternoon armed robbery of Wells Fargo bank, 8333 Montgomery Boulevard NE, near the corner of Wyoming Boulevard NE.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, about 5’5” tall, with a slender to medium build and a black goatee. His age range is from 28 to 50.

The man wore dark clothing, sunglasses, and a baseball-style cap with green on it.

Witnesses say the suspect walked into the bank at about 3:29 p.m. Thursday with his hand or jacket covering his face.

He had a handgun in the waistband of his pants and lifted up his shirt to show the weapon to a teller.

The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money. He was last seen heading west on foot.

A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the subject.
