A man robbed Western Heritage Bank in Las Cruces shortly after 9 a.m. today.

Nobody was injured. Las Cruces Police and the FBI are investigating.

Witnesses say a white male, wearing a black leather-type jacket over a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, handed a demand note to a teller at the bank at 230 S. Alameda Blvd., near Amador Road.

The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money. He was seen walking west through the parking lot.

He is described as about 5’5 to 5’6” tall and about 140-150 pounds. Witnesses say he was about 35-45 years old, clean-shaven, and had acne scars. The hood covered his head.

The suspect was wearing glasses, blue jeans, and light-colored slip-on shoes.

A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the subject.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Albuquerque FBI Office at (505) 889-1300 (24 hours) or Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
