Flight Diverted to Albuquerque Airport

FBI Albuquerque December 08, 2010
  • Public Affairs Specialist Frank Fisher (505) 889-1438

Continental Airlines Flight 1576, which departed San Jose this morning en route to Houston, was diverted and landed without incident in Albuquerque today.

An unruly male passenger was removed from the plane and the flight continued without further delay.

There were no injuries and the flight and passengers were not in any danger.

The man is being interviewed by federal and local authorities.

Albuquerque FBI officials said they will continue to investigate but, at this time, the incident does not appear to have any terrorism ties.
