  • Northern District of New York (315) 448-0672

ALBANY, NY—United States Attorney Richard S. Hartunian and Clifford C. Holly, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, announced that DOWAYNE SCOTT, age 31, of Hudson, New York, was sentenced yesterday by United States District Court Judge Norman A. Mordue to 96 months’ incarceration and a life term of supervised release following his release from incarceration. Immediately following this sentence, SCOTT was also sentenced to 24 months’ incarceration on a violation of supervised release stemming from a separate matter, to be served consecutively to his 96 months’ incarceration.

SCOTT had previously admitted to possessing child pornography on a digital camera. On or about between the dates of February 12 through March 1, 2010, during a sexual act with a female, who was 15 years old at the time, SCOTT took photos of a sexual act and of her genital area with a digital camera and kept the images.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.
