Defendant Who Possessed Child Pornography Pleads Guilty
Defendant Pleads Guilty to Receiving and Possessing Numerous Videos of Child Pornography

ALBANY, NY—United States Attorney Richard S. Hartunian, Clifford C. Holly, Special Agent-in-Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Albany Division and Joseph D’Amico, Superintendent of New York State Police, announced that, LOGAN KLOTZ, age 30, of Troy, New York, pled guilty on July 26, 2011 in United States District Court in Albany before District Judge Thomas J. McAvoy to one count of receiving child pornography.

KLOTZ admitted that beginning in about October 2008 and continuing until about December 15, 2010, he received numerous still images and videos of child pornography from a variety of sources including other individuals and websites. KLOTZ further admitted that once he received aid images, he saved some of them onto a homemade computer and an external hard drive.

Sentencing was scheduled by Judge McAvoy for December 12, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in U.S. District Court in Albany, New York. KLOTZ faces a maximum penalty of 20 years of imprisonment, with a mandatory minimum sentence of five years. KLOTZ was released pending his sentencing.

This case was investigated by the FBI and the New York State Police.
